Introduction

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of diverse organizations. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and mitigating potential security threats, deploying effective security measures, and continuously monitoring network activity to safeguard our customers' environments and data.

Security engineering is a critical discipline focused on building and maintaining systems that remain reliable and resilient in the face of cyber threats, human error, and unpredictable failures. It goes beyond implementing firewalls and encryption—it involves a deep understanding of how systems behave under pressure, how attackers think, and how to design infrastructure that can withstand both internal and external risks. At its core, security engineering is about anticipating vulnerabilities before they are exploited and embedding trust into every layer of technology.

Requirements

• Design and implement security solutions (security solutions) to protect the organization's networks, systems and data (data)
• Monitor network activity and identify potential security threats(securitythreats)
• Respond to security incidents(securityincidents) and implement countermeasures
• Staying up to date with the latest security trends(security trends) and technologies
• Implement and maintain security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security of our systems and data

What do we expect?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Experience in cybersecurity or similar position
• Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies
• Ervaring met beveiligingstools zoals firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, WAF, Load Balancing, ...
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Dutch and English
